Prior to choosing your entries, please read the following rules:

  1. The online registration will ask you your true age and true proficiency at which you will compete. The online registration will then restrict your choices according to the entry rules.
  2. Material used in closed events should be based on the syllabi of the United States Imperial Society for the Teachers of Dance (www.usistd.org). Please note that while the International Standard and Latin Styles have relatively consistent syllabus lists throughout the world, the American Smooth and Rhythm syllabus lists can differ significantly depending on the organization which provides them. Because of the differences between various syllabi, syllabus events in the American styles at USA Dance competitions will require that the competitors stay within the technical difficulty of the proficiency level in which they are dancing (Bronze, Silver, Gold) but not necessarily within a specific set of steps. The American syllabi provided should be used as a measure of the difficulty of each proficiency level for the Rhythm and Smooth styles.
  3. Open events are not material restricted.
  4. Newcomer is open to students who have never competed in any type of a Ballroom competition. A student may not enter this category more than once.
  5. The decision of the judges shall be final.
  6. The Organizers can not accept responsibility for loss or theft in changing rooms or ballroom. Neither can they be held liable for injury sustained attending this event. Both professional and student must sign a release form at the competition to participate.
  7. Please adhere to the deadline (June 21, 2008) to ensure proper entry into the program.
  8. Cancellations and refunds: The deadline for cancellation refunds is two weeks prior to the event. If the organizers are notified after the deadline, refunds will be considered only in case of emergency. Absolutely no refunds will be made at the event.
